Currently, general darshan at Khatu Shyam Ji is free and no booking is required on regular days — it is first-come, first-served. During major festivals like Phalgun Mela or Ekadashi, temporary token systems may be introduced. Check the official website shrishyammandir.com or the temple noticeboard before visiting. For elderly and divyang devotees, free online registration is mandatory to use the special entry lane.
The best days are weekdays — especially Tuesday and Thursday, which are considered auspicious for Shyam Baba. Early morning visits (6–9 AM) before the crowd builds are recommended. Avoid weekends, Ekadashi, Purnima, and Phalgun month. November to March overall is the best season due to pleasant Rajasthan weather.
Bhakts are not allowed to bring flowers, garlands, prasad, coconuts, flags, charnamrit, tilak materials, or chhadi inside the main temple premises. Mobile phones should be used respectfully. Footwear must be left outside. Non-vegetarian food and alcohol are strictly prohibited in and around the temple area.
Yes. Most hotels and dharamshalas in Khatu Shyam Ji provide night check-in facility since many devotees travel overnight from distant cities.
